For your problem, is not possible to give an appropriate answer without knowing in details the problem, exacts symptoms, messages and so on ... what are exactly the encountered difficulties ?
and of course, what is the version of OS X installed on that Mac... Mac OS X 10.1 or OS X 10.10 ??
