Black Screen

Hello,
My Laptop Was Updating And was Taking So Long That I Shut It Down During The Update, I Went To Turn It Back On And The Screen Was Black But The Keybroad Was On The Laptop Is Only Like 5 Days Old. And I Have A "Product Care Plan" But I never Put It On The Laptop, So If This Laptop Broken Can I Still Put It On And Not Be Charge? PLEASE ANSWER!!
