Having trouble with mouse pad

Hello, I have a Satellite C55-A5310 and the mouse pad doesn't seem to want to work properly. when i turn the computer on it works fin until a bit later it doesn't move. I have ti click the left mouse button to be able to move it but it gets annoying since it highlights everything. I've tried the push zero button to restore the computer but it doesn't work.
