My HP Laptop is not showing anything when I switch it on but blank screen

I have an HP Laptop (Windows 8.1). Yesterday I was using my laptop and after I shut it down, today morning I tried to switch it on so I can use it, but it just shows HP Logo and after just a blank screen for nothing, I tried everything I could like switch it on and off more than 6 times, plug a charger and switch it on, but still nothing and I need this Laptop for school researches and also to finish my GTA: San Andreas game, hahaha. Please tell me how I can fix it :)

You might try this:
1. remove the battery and unplug the charger
2. press and hold down the power switch for 60 seconds
3. install the battery and plug in the charger
4. start as normal
Sometimes this procedure will fix things.
