Having no luck connecting my Lexmark X2600 printer installed on my windows 8 Dell. Supposed to be a notification pop up when I connect the printer cable, does it on Windows 7, but not on 8. Lexmark X2600 driver's already installed.

Sometimes manufacturers really want their products to expire. So with being said, you must go their website and dig deep into their drivers and re-install. Or, go to Biglots and pull another $25(us) printer off the shelf!
