Help with gateway w350i blue screen

Hello,

My mom gave me her old laptop to have for uploading pics of my daughter, one day it froze and when I restarted I tried the repair but it just lead me to a blue screen, I tried the hdd option with alt and f 10 and it brought me to a screen where It said windows files loading and now it's just black with the curser. I just want to be able to use this and I can't figure It out for the life of me. I'm just looking to get it started, help please!
