Date formate in formula bar

hi Tried to change the date format in the formula bar but its not taking for ex:
29/05/2015 is showing as MM/DD/YYYY in formula bar but in sheet its showing as above and till 11/12 its taking as month instead of date ex are below please advise how to change this

Sorry, but I don't see the problem.

Why would you want to format the data in the formula bar?
