All programs under the start menu open with IE

Hello.You are doing a nice job,thanks. My problem is that all programs under the start menu open with IE, including 'regedit' itself! can you help me?

1.go to start menu.
2.run
3. type regedit.
4.find: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\flexts\
5.search for .lnk ext.
6.delete hole .lnk key.
7. restart

@Ambucias thanks for your time. I have tried but on clicking 'regedit', an internet explorer window pops up and thus cant proceed. I quess regedit opens with IE as well,or something like that.

Do you have access to Explorer?
