Screen just stays on for a second and then it turns black

Hello, hello I follow the instructions below and I think they are the right instructions accept my screen won't light up it stays black when it flashes on the screen is clear and bright like new but then it goes off and stays off it'll pop up again it'll say Toshiba and then I'll get another screen just stays on for a second and then it turns black again any suggestions because I can't restore if I can't see
