Starts up but freezes when clicking anything

Hello,
So this ps3 has given me grief lately. It would freeze on start up but I fixed it by restoring defaults in safe mode. Now about a month later it will start up and act totally normal but if you click on anything (game. Movie. Hulu. Even settings) it will freeze. I've tried to enter safe mode and that froze as well. Any suggestions?

reinstall its software, same thing happened with my friend :P
