Return Sony VAIO to Factory Settings when f10/alt+f10 doesn't wo

Hello,

I have tried to return my Sony VAIO to Factory Settings using F10 repeatedly on boot up and Alt+F10 on boot up once and again repeatedly. Neither works. The laptop will only boot up to windows. Is there anything else I can try?

You recovery image has probably been damaged.

Try a recovery cd which you may get from Sony.

Do the recovery disks cost money when requesting from Sony?

I don't know, I don't work for Sony. But if it does cost money, it's better than a dead computer.
