i'm using asus notebook, windows 10. my speakers don't work but when i plug the headphones it does. When I switch on my notebook the is a message saying "you've just unplugged device into the jack" while there is nothing plugged. Please help me.
It's possible that the jack is damaged and the computer thinks there is always a headphone plugged-in. IPhone head phones have been known to damage laptop jacks. They seem to be a little too long and damage the spring loaded prong inside the jack.
Some people report that if you the headphone plug and then quickly pull it out a few times it might release the bent prong.
