Hi wepngogn,
You dont say what make/model of machine you have, but this feels like a driver issue to me.
Try to determine which audio hardware you have (Device Manager is good for this) and before you upgrade again see if there have been any drivers written for Windows 10. If not then you might be out of luck for a time (until someone writes them). You could try downloading and installing Windows 8 drivers while in Windows 10.
Please let us know how you get on.
