Connecting Excel database to the company's website

Hello everyone and thank you for any help on this problem that I have.

My boss just asked me to connect the excel database I am finishing up on creating and he would like it to be connected to the existing website we have so that the public would be able to see the data for any existing companies that we have on file but not to be able to edit /change any data.

Is there a way to do this and if there is can anyone give me a step by step process?

Sorry it's much too complex for you to do. I suggest you hire a web developer that knows how to things work.
