Hello Jidhafsy,
please try to run check disk in command prompt:
Go to start-->in search box type "cmd.exe" without quotes and in the list appear cmd.exe right click on it-->run as admin.
Type chkdsk F: and press enter. ( If your drive is F: otherwise change into required drive.

Did you mean your hard disk recognized but the files not accessible?
If yes, then follow the procedure:
Go to start and type
cmd
Now right click on it and select run as administrator
Now run this command
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
where g refers to your external hard drive letter
this should unhide your files

I think these folders got corrupted. so first you should try to run an antivirus scan on your computer. so if you have then it will be removed.
after scanning your computer, you need to run recuva software to recover your folders.

Hello,
# Download USB Fix
Launch it, a shortcut will be created on your desktop.
Choose "Clean" option.
A pop-up will follow
Connect all your external data sources to your PC (Usb keys, sd cards external drives, etc...)
Once you're ready, click "OK".
While cleaning, you will lose access to your desktop, but this is normal.
The numbers of analyzed and infected elements are displayed.
# Copy/paste the report here.
