No icons, start up, task bar is showing.

Hello,

My OS is windows 7 ultimate. When I was closing my tasks in task manager all the icons from desktop, taskbar and startup disappeared. I can see only the desktop background image now. I tried opening task manager again using Ctrl+alt+del. But its not working. I'm totally blank now. Don't know what to do. I am not able to shut down my system too. Please help me on solving this.

Hello,

Try this 1

1) Hold the Ctrl and Shift keys --> Press the Esc key. "Task Manager"

should be opened. Click on "File" --> New Task --> Type explorer.exe and

press Enter. Your desktop should appear now.

2) If step 1 doesn't work then hold the Power ON button, for few seconds.

This will turn Off your laptop.

3) Now switch ON your Laptp, start tapping the "F8" key to get

"Windows Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and

keep tapping the F8 key).

Select the option "Last known Good Configuration"

4) If the problem still exists then follow Step 3 and this time select

"Repair Your Computer" and follow the onscreen instructions.
