Acer Aspire E5-511 / E15 malfunctioning keyboard

Hi there.

laptop only months old. has worked fine until keyboard malfunctioned today out of nowhere. now just a few keys work as they should, others are totally unresponsive and some were even outputting the wrong thing altogether but now appear to be unresponsive too. tried a few things but no joy. if anyone has known solution or whatever id be very grateful.

Can you test the laptop using an external USB keyboard?
A successful test would point to a mechanical/electrical problem with the internal keyboard. The only way to fix it would be replacement of the internal keyboard.
