i have a new install windows 7 pro on my laptop. It was finish installing but i can't install anything on it. It always says "THE VER OF THIS FILE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE VERSION OF WINDOWS YOU'RE RUNNING. CHECK YOUR COMPUTER'S SYSTEM INFORMATION TO SEE WHETHER YOU NEED AN X86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) VERSION OF THE PROGRAM, AND THEN CONTACT THE SOFTWARE PUBLISHER.

Hi TechMat1224,

It seems that you are trying to install 64 bit software into a 32 bit version of Windows 7. Can you verify which version you are using? You can find it by right clicking on "My Computer" and choosing "Properties". It will say which version you have on that page. If it doesnt say 64 bit then make sure you only try to install 32 bit software on it. 64 bit operating systems can take both 32 and 64 bit software.
