How to remove shortcut virus in laptop permanently

Hello,
I would like to ask if there any ways could be done in get rid the shortcut virus on my laptop PERMANENTLY. Well, I had already know the technique use in fixing them whenever it affected my files (in pendrives). But it is quite tiring to do it repeatedly everytime I insert my pendrives into it. So, I hope you could help me out of this matter. Thank you. Lots of love, Aiman.
