Why doesn't adobe reader download

Hello, I click download, then says "windows version" click on that and then nothing happens

I had to shut down AVG and Malwre Bytes to get it to load. Many thanks for the help.

what download site are you using?

May be you have not downloaded the setup properly that is why you are having such kind of problem. so you need to go to: https://get2.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/
and download the software from here. it will start working fine.
