HP restore to original factory state :(

Hello,

Please can someone help me, I had soooo much data on my laptop, then tried to get rid of a virus and somehow selected "restore hp to original factory settings" - i tried to stop it but to no avail.

I have installed a data recovery programme but it doesnt pick up any data that was deleted or lost. I read in one of the threads that i should check for a user file that i cant open, i did that too and cant find it.

Please help me - I am so upset with myself.
