Complaint about keyboard

Hello,
I have sony vaio E series laptop .. when i opened my lap im not able to type my password because the keyboard keys are not working.. Only letter I is working.. what should i do for this

Hi Grace.

You could try plugging in a USB keyboard for the short term and access your computer using that. I think ultimately thought you will need a new keyboard for the laptop. Did you spill anything on it?

Please let me know how you got on.

i was working on my lap till 8pm on monday night and switched off it properly.. yesterday when i tried opening i got this problem i.e keyboard is not working. i dint spill anything over it too

Can you try a USB keyboard?

Perhaps try entering safe mode when you boot. If you are using windows 7 or before press the [F8] key rapidly when you switch it on. Use the arrow keys (if they work ) to select safe mode and then try first your username and if that works let me know, and if it fails try the Administrator account. If the keyboard works there let me know.
