Hi nthekgeng,
Could you tell me what happens when you press the power button? Are there any noises? Can you see something on the screen? Are you using the laptop with the power cable connected? The red light may indicate different things depending on the model, but in most cases may indicate a power supply connection. Unfortunately that is not enough to confirm that the power is enough and that all the components are working properly. I strongly recommend you to disconnect power cable and battery and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and try again. It would be wise to try with another cable too.
If the laptop is under warranty, contact the seller and ask for some advices.
Hope this helps

Hi nthekgeng
I think R2d2 is right…This type of problem most probably occurs due to power or battery failure.
Remove battery, clean it and put it back. And check if there is any improvement.
And if the problem still occurs then you should replace the battery with new one.
