Recovery email change and password

Hello, my friend gmail is been hack he used it in google play to play clash of clans his phone lost and his account to. we find out that the recovery email of that account has been change I tried so many ways but in the end google said I need the recovery email how come I have a recovery when the hacker change the recovery. I really need some help cos clan wars is going on. thankyou
