Cannot navigate the linksys setup Website

The linksys setup webpage that appears when I type 192.168.1.1 into my browser, forces me to enter the "admin" username & password everytime I select anything! whenever I try to "Save Settings" or make my personal network secure, I keep having to enter the "admin" password over & over again, then the website says...

"401 Authorization Required
Browser not authentication-capable or authentication failed.

I can't do anything! Can someone please help me?

Perhaps you can reset the modem to it's factory defaults using the reset switch in the back of the modem. I would first find the factory default ID password.
