Seagate External HDD not working after fall

Hello,

My 1 TB Seagate accidentally fall from my hand. The Green Light glows up in External HDD and spinddle is also moving/revolving. But it doesn't showing in my computer. Went to devmgmt.msc. It shows it but not able to assign any drive letter to it. Neither its allowing to format the same.

Please help.

The read/write heads were damaged in the fall. This is not something you can fix. I suggest you buy a new external dive.

I have bought a new HDD.. But i need only one Folder as backup.. Is there anyway to recover it?

You might try freezing the drive and then quickly trying to access the data. Just be sure to seal the drive in a plastic bag before placing in the freezer for a few hours,
