My Micro SD Card is Damaged

While I was downloading my Favorite Videos/Pictures/Music on my Micro SD card, my Computer said that the drive is dirty... I didn't understand what it was telling me, so I put the Micro SD Card in my Tablet. It said that my Card was Damaged and that I should try reformatting it, but I don't want to. If I reformat it, I'll lose everything. What should I do?
