Hey there, deepi.
It seems like you've learned this the hard way, but never ever use memory drives and USB flash drives as the storage location of important files which have not been backed up.
You could try it with a different computer/device, to see if the same issue occurs. Other than that, you could try to access the flash drive via Ubuntu Live USB/DVD, to see if it's properly recognized and if you can get to your files. Another option would be to give data recovery software a go and see if you have any luck with it.
