Keyboard Typing wrong letters

Hello, sir

I am using windows 8 pro as os and while typing When I try to type '@' by pressing shift + 2, I get " as a result and when I press shift +" I get '@' . how do I solve the problem ? Is that due to OS ?

It's possible that you have a mismatch between the physical keyboard and Windows logical keyboard. I suggest you go to the Control Panel - Keyboard icon and see if the keyboard is set to English.
