Hi Ronel,
To fix Error code 0x80070057, you need to delete the existing windows partition where the previous version of Windows was installed including System Reserved Partition. Then format the disk for clear installation of Windows and follow below steps...
Insert the Windows 8 DVD & start installation.
Select Custom (advanced) type of installation.
Select Disk 0 partition 1, and click Delete. This step will going to delete the System Reserved Space.
Hit OK when the dialog box appears.
Now choose Disk 0 partition 2, and do the same steps as done with Disk 0 partition 1.
Now you have some Unallocated Space, so select it & create a new partition.
Again a dialog box appears on your screen, click OK.
Now select the Disk 0 partition 2, Format it “again”.
Hope your problem would be solved.
