I didn't use my real name some 5yrs ago for security reasons of my own. My account was disabled I was sent a message for proof but was busy for a few months. I called support and was told my account was suspended /hacked and that I would be responsible for the charge of$290. For them to recover my info to start a new fb page. If I was hacked then why am I responsible for the charge of $290. for a free fb account.

Facebook does not offer phone support, only scammer do, they charge, cash your money and collect personal information, yet they are unable to regain your account. Facebook never charges money to any user in any circumstances.
Forget about your old account and start a new account.
