DUE DATE ALERT FROM EXCEL FILE WHEN WINDOWS STARTUP

Hi Guys,

I'm just wondering if you would be able to assist me with this one, I have been trying to work this out myself but this is causing me a great deal of stress...

I am trying to get Excel to generate a popup when it reaches or passes a certain date.

We have to send out notifications to our residents for any up and coming maintenance events that are scheduled in.

We have 3 dates;
Maintenance Due Date (Column D)
Notification Due Date (Column E)
Notification Sent date (Column F)


I am trying to set it up so that a pop up message appears in the following two circumstances;

I have a big file in Excel with heaps of information about my customers. One of the coloms is telling me when I need to send them a letter. I would like to have a reminder when this date is reached. The best would be that I get it every hour or every day untill I say I did it so I will never forget.

An other solution will be to link excell with outlook and make automatic tasks.

If anyone knows how to do this please let me know! Thanks in advance.

I have received a spreadsheet with cells in column E containing the following formula
[@[Retail Price]]/[@[Pack Size]]*100

Where the "Retail Price" and "Pack Size" are headings for columns C and D.

That formula is repeated exactly in all cells in column E and it does the calculation for each row based on the content of the same row cells C and D.

I've never come across the use of '@' like this and can find nothing elsewhere.

It seems to say "Find the Heading and use the contents of the cell in that column corresponding to this row".

Unfortunately, the supplier of this spreadsheet doesn't kno...
