HP laptop automatic switch offClosed

Question

Hello, 
 I'm using a HP pavillion series laptop.It gets switched off suddenly when in use.The time of switching off is not specific.It may switch after using for 5 hrs or 24hrs or even in few seconds.What is the reason for the switching off.
it doesn't even show the shutdown screen ....suddenly the screen goes black and the laptop is switched off

It sounds like it is getting hot.  Never use a laptop on a soft surface, like a pillow or a blanket.  Always use a rigid flat surface.

Make certain that the battery settings are not configured to turn off with 50% of the battery left.  There are alot of reasons why these things happen.
