Password forgotten

I once created an e-mail address of which the above e-mail address was chosen, unfortunately i never had an opportunity to use it. However the same e-mail address still appears on my unisa records and i still want to use it , the only thing is that i have forgotten my original password i created when the e-mail was created. i further would like to know whether it is still active or not.
