You can use a file recovery tool to recover your word document from USB. In fact there are free tools available in the market. You can download and retrieve file easily....

Hello all,
@mls003, Have you checked the USB on several ports or PCs? If not, please try it to see will it work and will the files be visible. If the USB drive gets recognized on some PCs my suggestion is to try with a data recovery software. There are plenty of them in the Internet – some are paid and others are for free.
If they don't do the job, then the last resort is to bring the USB to a data recovery company to do the tests.
