Error message

Hello,
When I launch my internet explorer 8 a message in a small box appears in the middle if the page and says "Windows has shut down this program to help protect this computer" Then when I close the window its says error report send or dont send. When I close that window the computer shuts down. I tried to reinstall internet 8 but the same thing happens. Any help would be great.
