Your laptop model please? When you upgraded to windows 10?
Did you try to factory restore your laptop to windows 7?

Hi TJBOY,
This really may be a Windows 10 related issue. At which moment do you see the validation fail? Just before entering Windows? If you have an installation drive, use it to repair the SO. Is it possible to factory reset the PC or use a restore point? It seems to me that there are two options: drive problem, which may reappear if you change or repair the SO or some Windows version failure which is more like a software issue and should be resolved by repairing the system. Have you tried booting in Safe Mode? Do you have important data on the primary partition?
Hope this helps
