Computer always tell me to reboot and select proper boot device

Hello,
I'm having a problem with my computer its a hp windows xp pavilion slimline s7410n pc its a pretty old system but its has information that I have to retrieve when I start my computer it always tell me to reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key I have no idea what's going on can you please help

Hi

The hard disk is defective. Perhaps a repair shop could retrieve some of the data.
