can you try the drive on another computer. Failure on the second computer would indicate the drive needs to be replaced. There is nothing repairable on the external drive.

Hi Tom,
Unfortunately, it is not a good sign that the drive is not listed when using the Diskpart, list disk commands. Like Xpcman said, you better check the drive on another PC and with another USB cable. Do you have important data on the drive? If you do, try testing the drive on a Linux PC in order to exclude some OS/driver compatibility issues. If the drive is not working even on another PC, you may need to replace the drive. If it is under warranty, contact the seller.
