Hello Ricky,
It seems like you have a motherboard issue. Please, try the following thing only if your laptop is out of warranty.
1. Take out the battery and power cable
2. Open the lid of the laptop
3. Take out the CMOS battery for about 5 mins
4. If you have another one, plug it, but if you don't, place the old battery back in
5. Plug the battery and power cable and try to start the lappy
Let me know if that helped you. Cheers.

Thankyou for your advice but I tried what you said and unfortunately laptop was still doing the same. Power light on, fan starts and the 2 lights flash
Thankyou anyway

Hi again,
Have you tried reseating the RAM stick/s if more than one there? If you haven't, you could try switching the places of the sticks or if you have another one, you could replace one of the memory part.
It could be an issue with the motherboard itself and the power supply so my advice is to bring the lappy to a technical company to make the tests, if you want to be sure.
Cheers.
