Acer notebook blank screen, can not login

Hello,

I locked my notebook at night but now unable to log in. I tried restarting , Windows screen comes but after that there is just a blank bluish green screen. I can just see the crosser only nothing else .. How to resolve it ?

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

Tried resetting it but after loading for almost 6 hours it gave me the msg that reset was failed for some reason. It just went back to the troubleshoot page. No idea what to do so I did hit reset again and it is loading now :( fingers crossed..

Followed your instructions but no luck. Still I can not login. It is getting switched on and I can see the windows logo which keeps loading for a while but after that no progress . There is the same blank screen .

I suggest that you try resetting to factory settings.
