Monitor not syncing with cpu

Hello guys,
So i bought a new gaming pc and a monitor the problem is that the monitor is not getting the signal from the cpu i checked lot of times the cable (vga) is connected i tried unplugging replugging changing cable poles restarting everything but still it's showing "vga no signal"

So, gaming PC's typically have an external video card, does this have one? If so, make certain you are using that video output and not the one on the MB!

Yeah it does have one i think a Nvidia GeForce GTX960 (is it or am i confusing with graphic card)
I'm not getting it can you explain more precisely ?

Are you plugging into that one, doe the motherboard have its own video output? If so, DO NOT USE THE MOTHERBOARD OUTPUT! Also, is the fan spinning on the graphics card?
