Gmail retrieval

I really need to retrieve an email from way back in May of 2014. I tried the way explained about not filling in the form under the search bar and only clicking on the blue search icon. This did work but only for this years mails. It did not go further back than Jan 2016. Is there any way possible to go back to 2014 to retrieve a mail that I was sure that I never deleted in the first place.

I really hope someone has a solution.

Sorry you can't! After all that time the mails were deleted from the server.

Thanks for your feedback. Indeed, regularly Gmail makes a sweep. Such online mail services are not safe for storage. But, I have mails almost 15 years old that I have saved because I use Microsoft Office Outlook.
