I have lenovo ThinkPad E49. I was working on it and put it on sleep for half an hour..when i turned it on, it displays BIOS with boot options but it is not booting even if i select ATA HDD1.
FOLLOWING IS INFORMATION ON SCREEN AFTER POWER ON:
ATAPI: PLDS DVD-RW DS8A9SH
ATA HDD1: HGST HTS725050A7E630
PCI LAN
Can you please help me get out of this problem?

Hmm, since the HDD is detected quite strange that it doesn't boot if Windows is properly installed.
One thing to try would be to boot with an external OS (from USB or DVD, containing a fee OS like lInux) and inspect the HDD1.
