Laptop Updated, now External monitor won't work

My laptop updated yesterday ( I have Windows 10), and now my external monitor won't display. My laptop recognizes there is a second monitor, but the monitor does not recognize there is a signal and goes to sleep. Not really good with this stuff.

HIt the Windows Key and P. A menu should pop up. Make certain you have the other monitor connected prior to doing this. Post back and let us know what happens!

Thanks! I was able to pull up that menu, but it does not fix it. Tried to go in and see if the drivers need to be updated, but they are up to date. :o(

Does ypur control panel see it in the displays? What konf of connecrions are they?
