Well, there are two separate types, the FILE security, or NTFS security. This type you would mark up the security at the NTFS level. If you are not familiar with this method, then DO NOT DO IT. Or, in Word itself, protect the file, with a password. You could also, zip it up, and secure it within the ZIP with a password, so really there are three methods!
