Hello, please I am using compac presario CQ57 yesterday my lap was showing disk error, i tried hard disk test but its saying disk fault 1 pls what do i do thanks

You probably need to replace the hard disk and install a new copy of Windows.

Hi Vic,
Unfortunately, it is highly possible that your hard drive has failed. Is the laptop under warranty? If it is, contact the seller and ask for guidance. If warranty has expired, remove the hard drive and connect it in a desktop PC as a secondary storage drive. Check if the drive will be recognized. If it is accessible, backup all important data and download the drive manufacturer’s diagnostic tool. Check the drive’s condition.
If the drive is still not recognized, you may need to replace it and reinstall Windows.
