Cannot hear anything on my neo basic laptop

Hello,
i am using a neo basic laptop with windows vista basic installed. my problem is that after a certain update from microsoft came in and installed,,,,my computer automatically shuts down,, when i opened it the audio did not work anymore, there is no sound heared in speaker or in headphone, i tried to remove the newly installed update but i was not able to delete it, it was marked important what should i do now please anyone knows respond to me asap, i am deadly insane thank you
