My laptop locked up so I held the esc key while rebooting and a dialouge window came up saying no device to boot and hit any key to continue but it doesnt do anything.. Also I tried rebooting with the alt/f10 keys and a window saying "no bootable device, hit any key" but it doesnt do anything. ok so I did alt/f12 and it said it was doing repair then screen went black, it shut down, so I hit the power on button and it started up to the sign on screen and thought I was home free but now my cursor is flashing in the sign on window but my keyboard is not working. Any help would be appreciated

It appears your hard disk has failed. I suggest you contact ACER to see iuf you can buy a preformatted disk from them. Otherwise you will need a new disk and a fresh copy of Windows.
