I have a 2007 DELL Inspiron 1501 Windows Vista Home Basic laptop. Whenever I insert a blank DVD-R disc into the computer, it does not read, however, when I insert a CD-R Disc is responds correctly. How may my laptop read Blank Rewritable DVD-R Discs?

hi,
there may either be a problem with the DVD you are trying to play or the DVD player does not recognise the format of the disk, check in the manual for details.
